Welcome to ZOJAJ, an Egyptian upcycling brand giving old glass bottles a second life. Each piece is handcrafted with care, turning what was once waste into something beautiful and useful.
We take discarded glass bottles and transform them into beautiful, functional pieces for your home and everyday life. Because glass deserves more than one use. Every piece you bring into your home is one less bottle in a landfill.
ZOJAJ transforms discarded glass bottles into handcrafted pieces for your home and everyday life. Upcycling each bottle by hand uses a fraction of the energy needed to produce new glassware from scratch, and keeps that glass out of Egypt's landfills for good.
Every bottle we rescue is one less piece of waste, and one more object made with care instead of a conveyor belt.

HOW IT'S MADE
Every ZOJAJ glass begins its journey long before it reaches our hands. We welcome bottles brought by people who believe, like we do, that glass deserves more than disposal. Every bottle we receive is a bottle saved.
Before anything else, every single bottle is thoroughly washed and fully sanitized. We treat each one as if it were brand new because soon, it will be.
We carefully score each bottle and guide the cut by hand. It takes patience and multiple attempts. Some bottles carry hidden manufacturing defects that only reveal themselves under the blade. Those pieces never go to waste either. We find a new purpose for every fragment.
This is where the magic happens. Each edge goes through 4 to 6 stages of hand sanding, moving from coarse to ultra-fine sandpaper until every surface is completely smooth — safe to touch, safe to drink from, and beautiful to hold.
Before it reaches you, every glass is carefully cleaned and sanitized one final time to remove any trace of glass particles. Then it is packed in eco-friendly packaging, so it arrives in perfect condition, ready to use from day one.
